The Project

Jazzmoss is lyrical jazz with a light, melodic and warm Summer feel.

Jazzmoss is a collaborative project between singer poet Louisa Le Marchand and Ugandan pianist & multi-instrumentalist Kaz Kasozi. The studio album features 10 songs by Louisa and music arranged & produced by Kaz. Great musicians graced the project with their talent including the legendary jazz drummer Trevor Tomkins, sax player Art Theman, trumpeter Henry Lowther, clarinetist and sax player Mix Amylo , the amazing Jim Mullen on guitar , bass players Liran Donin and Steve Watts and the dynamic drums of Ed Williams and Mike Collins with Gill Swan guesting on backing vocals.

The project has been a labour of love that was originaly written in 2001 and then shelved as both Louisa and Kaz pursued other projects. In the latter part of 2006 they resumed the project and completed the live recording sessions in early 2007. The album was previewed in the third week of October '07 with a live set of 6 tracks. It was released for the US and Canada territory by GFMA on 15.10.07; European release is for late spring 2008 to ne distributed by Discovery Records.
